I decided that I'm quitting college. While I've been in college, I feel like a dark cloud is hanging over me. I'm always behind on my assignments, the housework is suffering and we are having to juggle who picks up which kid. Once I decided to quit I felt a huge relief. One of my teachers even told me that three online classes was too much to start out with. They give you more work because there is no class time. I have 3 papers due in the next week or so. I just felt like I couldn't do it all. Hey, my blogging has even been suffering. Haha! I also found out that the kind of job I want, probably doesn't need a college certificate. I'm looking for an office job and I've done that kind of work before.
I'm a little sad, and disappointed in myself, but overall I feel better.

Sometimes you gotta drop one ball in order to be able to juggle the rest lest they all fall down!
Your not a failure, your a hard working mother and wife who does a great job. Your family and home are important to you and there is nothing wrong with that. And you’re so smart you don't have to go to college. Not everyone who is someone has gone to college. I have heard tons of stories of self made millionaires that never stepped foot in college so give yourself more credit. You always do well at what ever you choose to do.
I hope you're feeling better! I agree with what Tereza said. Don't beat yourself up about it- sometimes we can't do it all, and that does NOT make you a failure!! Hugs!
Thanks guys! You are all so sweet!
I am starting next week. I am taking 2 classes. Hopefully it won't overwhelm me b/c I already work OUTSIDE of the home 40 hours a week.
Bobbi, please don't give up. Maybe take a break for awhile but keep going. It took me 10 long years to finally get my BS and it was just two classes here and there. The job you want might not require a degree, but trust me, it's one of the proudest moments you'll ever have getting that degree and saying your a college graduate. What seems overwhelming now, won't next week. Trust me. I'm balancing a full-time job, part-time job, a college class, the kids, and I'm doing photo shoots. If I can do it, you can do it! * Stepping off of soapbox! *
Thanks everyone for your kind words. College is just not for me right now. I'm looking for a job right now.
I believe that dark cloud was The Lord telling you that it wasn't right. When you got such a relieved feeling, I believe that was The Lord letting you know that you were making the right decision by giving more time to your family (and your blogging!) I think you made a great decision...one you will not regret.
