Making Macey happy..

This is what we now spend a lot of our day doing. Finding ways to make Macey smile and get excited.

Today we put her on my bed and I put my hands on either side of her. Then we bounced her a little. She loved it. Everyone had to have a turn trying it. It is so cute to watch Parker say, my turn, my turn.

We dance with her, sing her songs and kiss her more than she would like, lol. At least no one can say she is starved for attention.

Parker has been really funny lately. He is obsessed with Macey wearing pajamas. He doesn't want her to wear outfits, he wants her to only wear pajamas. If I put something other then pajamas on her, he wants assurance that she will wear pajamas later. He even carries around her pjs in the morning after I take them off her. Funny guy, he either likes them or he thinks that she'll got to sleep if she's wearing them.

This brings me to the "April is autism awareness month" topic: A lot of people believe that kids with autism can't love, don't have empathy or don't make connections with other people. It's just not true. Parker is a very cuddly, loving guy. He hates Maceys crying but is learning to deal with it. When she isn't crying he wants to hold her and kiss her all the time. He is actually very sweet to her. He has surprised me so much. I am so proud of him. I think she is going to be a positive element in his life, and in all our lives.

How could a sweet baby with a great smile like that not be a positive in everyone's life!?! She's beautiful!

So sweet. I've been wondering how you all are doing. It's so hard settling in with a new baby and you've done it... Daniel loves Colton, but the crying is hard. A lot of things are hard. I'm hoping it gets better soon.
