It was hard for me this morning to send Parker to school. He said he was sick and wanted to stay home. I know that changing classes is hard for him. I just hugged him and told him he would have a great day. I wish I believed it. I'm sure he has an ok day, but it's got to be hard on him. He isn't crying when I leave him so he must feel comfortable and cared for. It really tugs at my heart. Why can't I just keep him home, safe and fine. This is so hard on me.

Today is sunny and nice out. I think I'm going to try weed-eating the lawn. Last time I tried the string ran out and I didn't know how to put more on. Here's hoping it lasts this time.

Bobby told me that next week he could get laid off for a month or two. The rain is affecting the logging. They are almost out of logs at the mill. I'm not too worried about it because I know we'll make it. Either he will work his second job more or he'll stay home and I'll get a temporary job. I looked into one yesterday that sounded good. It's taking inventory in stores. It has pretty flexible hours too.

I'm glad it's Friday. I really need a weekend and some time with Bobby. We have respite tomorrow night and I think we are going to see a movie.

Thanks if you made it this far.

My kids are hilarious!

Molly had me cracking up today! I love torturing my kids!

Today while Parker was at school, I bought him a couple things at the thrift store. I got him a video, a few books and 2 sponge-bob toys. The total came to like 2.00 dollars. I couldn't find anything for Molly but decided to give her a dollar or something. Maybe nothing if she didn't find out. Hehe!

I was only going to give Parker a couple things each day so he would have something to look forward to. (Since starting a new class is hard) After we got home Parker wanted to watch his new movie. I didn't think Molly would notice so I thought I was in the clear. Later, when he wanted to watch it again, I accidentally said, "Do you like your new movie, you want to watch it again?" Molly heard and said, "What, he got a new movie, what did I get?" I said, Um, nothing". Then I thought it about it, I told her I had something for her. I said it was dumb, but it was either that or a dollar. You should have seen her face when I showed her the sponge-bob burger king toy. She was laughing and said she didn't want it but I owed her something. Yeah right!

It was just so hilarious how she knows if Parker gets something new. She almost investigates it. It was also hilarious about the way she complained about not getting anything. (I guess you had to be there, lol) I think I'm going to start taking lessons from the parents on Malcolm in the middle and Still standing.

I'm turning evil in my old age. Hehe.

Parker had a good day at school!

They said he stopped crying right after I left. They said it really seemed like he fit in well in the classroom and he didn't seem sad or lonely for his old friends. I'm so relieved. He wouldn't talk about school much, but maybe he will when he gets more used to it. He has a hard time answering questions about his day most of the time though. Here's hoping tomorrow will go as well as today.

Today is Parker's first day of Kindegarten.

He cried a little when I left him, but not too badly. He asked to go to the bathroom first thing, like he always did in his other class. He did that because he wanted to get away from the girl who cried when she got dropped off. I think old habits die hard with him. I tried to look up-beat and told him he would have fun. Inside I was scared and wanted to hold him. Please keep him in your prayers that he has a good day. I know that new things are really hard for him. (And me) I'll let you know how it went afterwards.

I also felt bad leaving his preschool classroom. The teacher and aids were so good with him. I think he learned a lot in that class this year. I'm going to miss them all. I was nervous when he started this class too, and it all worked out. Parker is going to miss his teachers and friends and that makes me sad. Hopefully he'll still get to see them at recess or something. Ok, enough with my emotions. Everyone have a nice day.

My wild child....

What do you think of Molly's hair?! I think it's really cute. My neice asked if she could use Molly as a model for her salon. She said she would do her hair for the pictures. I love the cut and the bangs. I think the purple is really cute too. (It's just a couple strips of it) She also gave her lighter highlights. That was so sweet of her. Molly said she was the talk of the school today and even some 8th graders came up to her and said they liked her hair.

Song I really like...

This song always reminds me of summers when we lived where it was hot. I really like it. It always puts me in a nostalgic mood.

Park pictures...

The kids and I went to the park yesterday. I felt a little better and we needed to get out of the house. It was kind of a warm day, so it was nice. It's hard sometimes at the park because there is a little kid side and a big kid side. Parker is always wanting to go back and forth and it drives Molly crazy. We had a good time anyways and saw an old friend there.

I'm nervous...

about sending Parker to his new classroom on Monday.

I'll be brave for him but I'm afraid it's too much of an academic based classroom and it will be a huge change for him. They do have breaks and fun, but it's definately not play centered like preschool. I'm afriad that this is such a big jump for him. What can I do though? I guess I will have to just feel it out. I pray that he likes it ok and I'm making the right choice for him. Keep us in your prayers.

I feel cruddy today

Why does it have to be vacation, lol? My throat hurts and so does my head. I hate being sick!

No one slept that well last night. I heard Parker and he was pretty restless. Molly also said she woke up at 2am. I woke up a bunch of times too because I felt awful. Then the stupid cat started meowing because she wanted to be petted or wanted a drink out of the toilet, nice huh. I can't keep her away from the toilet. Stupid cat! She is so picky about everything. Its funny she'd rather have the toilet than the water dish that we clean every day. I'm getting the spray bottle out tonight.

One of my goals is to organize Parker's room to give him more room on his side. Here's hoping I feel like it.

Does anyone watch "Big Love"? It is such a good show. I am so excited about watching the next one. Wow!

Yesterday at my Mom's birthday party, she asked Parker for a hug. He hugged her so hard she fell back and couldn't get up until I got him off of her. It was funny because she was OK, but poor Mom. Parker is very strong.

Yay! I like it!

I changed it again and now I really like it! I'm excited now! Woo hoo for me!

My blog is a mess...

I went to edit my templates and messed everything up. I lost my "blogs I like to read" and messed a bunch of stuff up. I cannot find my old layout either. Oh well, I'll have to stick with this one for a while. Sorry about the brightness. I thought the bees were cute but I don't like my header. Maybe I can find a way to change it. Blah! If you are not on my blog list and you were before, would you please comment here so I can add you.

On to a new subject, I think I might be getting Parker's cold, that little bugger. I guess I give him too many kisses and caught it. I just can't stop kissing that boy. I'm glad he's tolerant of me, hehe.

Molly and her cousin Shelby are in bed and be quiet. What is it about 2 little girls together? This is when I feel kinda bad for Molly. If she had her own room she wouldn't have to be so quiet. We won't live here forever though. I guess she can tolerate it for a while. They closed the divider, so that helps.

Tomorrow I am meeting my sister at my Mom's house. We are going there for her birthday. It should be nice except that Parker has a hard time staying there very long. He gets bored easy and becomes a bull in a china shop. Here's hoping we can keep him calm and entertained. Wish me luck. I'm sure it will be a challenge.

I'm going to start getting back into cooking!

I always make the same boring things and I want to start cooking different things. I swear, we cook very boring or we want to eat out.

Tonight Molly is having a friend stay the night and I'm going to make easy Southern steak and milk gravy from this webisite . It's a super easy thing to make but I never have. I think I'll also make mashed potatoes and home made biscuts.

I also might make apple dumplings if I have the ingrediants. I found a simple one that looks really good.
I want to cook something new everyday this week. I'll post if I do

Good Mom, but bad.....hehe!

I let the kids stay up too late tonight. They both watched, "Adams Family" for the first time. It was so cute how interested Parker was. I kept telling him, "5 more minutes" but ended up letting him stay up and watch it. I also put blankets and pillows on the floor so they could be cozy. I hope they arn't too tired tomorrow. I love those little guys so much. I guess it doesn't hurt spoiling them once in a while, or all the time, lol.

My dining room

This is the only room I'm really liking right now. Here are some pics of it changed around.

Here is a pic of when you walk in.

Here is a pic of my bakers rack.

Here is a pic of my pictures. My brother in law Dave took these and my sister got the frames and they gave me these for Christmas. I just love them!

Here is a pic of my Mickey Mouse collectables. I have more.

Here is a pic of my trouble shelves. They are a mess.

Here is a pic of my built in shelves where I put my cow stuff.

Here is my view today. Dreary, isn't it.

I added a chair in the corner and a little table. I thought it would be good for homework or just a nice place to sit.

The next thing I need to do is either work on the trouble shelves or get a nice curtain to put up there. What do you think?

Tuesday, February 10, 2009 is cold today! Yikes!

It's one of those colds where you don't even want to get out of your car. It was 38 degrees this morning. With all this cold, I wish it would snow. I've been doing dishes to keep my hands warm. My house is warm but my hands are cold.

My house smells like bleach right now because I've been cleaning my bathroom ceiling with a mop, covered with a dishtowel that is soaked in bleach. Why does mold like my house! I had to move the hamster into the kids room for now so the bleach won't hurt him.

My stupid ears are still plugged. I am going to the dr. soon, I swear.

Yesterday my neice came over and fixed Parker's hair. I cut it but made a mess of it. I hurried because he was wiggling all over the place and upset. I even messed up the side burns. It doesn't look so bad now that she fixed it, but the sideburns will just have to grow out. I shouldn't have cut it myself but his long hair was driving me crazy.

Molly went back to school today. She's been sick all weekend. She begged for me to keep Parker home with her yesterday. What fun for me. I thought he was warm when he woke up but I don't think he really was. They are both fine today.

It's so nice having a quiet house. I might make valentines cupcakes today. I got some valentines candy to put on the top. They should be cute. Yesterday when Parker and I went to Safeway, he wanted a cookie. They gave him one but they were very busy. It was a frosted valentines one with sprinkles. It's not the kind he would normally eat but he was trying it. He kept licking it and it finally broke. He got really mad and threw it into the cart. I took it out and was going to throw it away. He grabbed it from me and crumbled it into peices. He was really upset that the cookie broke. I couldn't go back and ask them for another one since they were busy. I made him help me find a garbage and throw the cookie away. I wasn't very happy with him but I knew he was upset. I promised that I would make him some cupcakes. I guess I better do it now.

Everyone have a nice day!

Guess who ate ice cream today!? Parker did! He doesn't usually ever eat it and he ate almost all of it today. I was getting Molly some and asked Parker if he wanted some too. He saw a bright pink/purple one that was cotton candy and wanted some. I handed him the cone, fully thinking Molly would have to eat it and he gobbled almost the whole thing down. Can you believe I am proud of my son for eating ice cream, lol.

Molly is sick right now. She has a bad cold or the flu. She had a fever today. My poor girl, she never gets sick. She had to come home from staying the night at my Mom's tonight. She needs her Mom when she's sick. (I'm secretly glad, I like babying her)

I'm up later than I should be. It's nice to have the computer to myself finally. Oh well, at least it's the weekend.

The other day I changed my dining room around. I'm in heaven because I love changing things around. I really like the way it turned out.

That's about it. I wish I had more exciting things to talk about....

Today was a pretty nice day. Early in the day I played on the computer and did housework. Later, because Molly had a minimum day, I picked her up early. We went to the pet store to look around and then to the library. I took her to the pet store because we don't go to that one often because Parker doesn't like it. I thought it would be a nice thing for her.

Later we went with my Mom to the mall for something to do. We looked around some and let the kids play. They were pretty much maniacs half the time. Where did I go wrong, lol? It's like they get super hyper and can't stop talking.

Now I'm home and can finally relax. When we got home, dh was bowling, and I had a lot to do. I had to make Parker taco meat for tomorrow, change him, make his bed, help Molly with her homework and run her a shower. I'm beat. Now they are both in bed, I read to Parker and I have to take a shower. See, I'm rambling. Sorry it's so boring but nothing much is going on.

I'm excited because one of my ears finally unplugged. They have both been plugged for at least a week. I went to an autism support group last night and I had to keep saying, "What? what?" I totally feel for people who are hearing impaired. It is so hard. I've been totally annoyed with Molly lately because of it. She is always yelling to me from the other room and I can't hear her. Grrrr!

Now I can hear out of one ear. I'm still putting the new drops in so hopefully in a day or so the other ear will be unplugged. It's so nice to hear!

That's about it. Everyone have a nice day!

Some days you just want to dress them up...

Molly was having fun with some little hats she made and some crocheted scarves. She also threw in a doll dress. Beautiful. Surprisingly, Pepper, my black cat, didn't mind at all. We were actually worried about her, lol.
